Are you a Soldier for Jesus?
No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please Him who hath chosen him to be a SOLDIER!
My bible story time teacher at church did a lesson on being a good soldier for Christ. We are in a spiritual battle, if we are saved we are fighting for Jesus. If we are not saved we are the enemy. How important is it to know that we are fighting for right. That we are fighting in the LORDS army and not the devils! There is no reason why we can't be in the battle on the right side. Just give your life to Jesus and you will be on the winning side! Here is a poem that our teacher brought. I wanted to share it.
A Soldier For Jesus Christ
I AM A SOLDIER IN THE ARMY OF GOD!
THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IS MY COMMANDING OFFICER!
THE HOLY BIBLE IS MY CODE OF CONDUCT!
FAITH, PRAYER, AND THE WORD OF GOD ARE MY WEAPONS OF WARFARE!
I AM A SOLDIER FOR JESUS CHRIST!
I HAVE BEEN TAUGHT BY THE HOLY SPIRIT, TRAINED BY EXPERIENCE,
TRIED BY ADVERSITY AND TESTED BY FIRE.
I AM A VOLUNTEER IN THIS ARMY, AND I AM ENLISTED FOR ETERNITY!!!
I WILL EITHER RETIRE IN THIS ARMY AT THE END, OR DIE IN THIS ARMY....

NO ONE HAS TO SEND ME GIFTS, FOOD, CANDY, OR GIVE MY HANDOUTS!
I DO NOT NEED TO BE CUDDLED, CRADLED, OR CATERED TO!
I AM A SOLDIER FOR JESUS CHRIST!
I AM COMMITTED!
I CANNOT HAVE MY FEELINGS HURT BAD ENOUGH TO TURN ME AROUND!
I CANNOT BE DISCOURAGED ENOUGH TO TURN ME ASIDE!
I CANNOT LOSE ENOUGH TO CAUSE ME TO QUITE!!!
I AM A SOLDIER FOR JESUS CHRIST!
WHEN JESUS CALLED ME INTO THIS ARMY, I HAD NOTHING.
IF I END UP WITH NOTHING, I WILL STILL COME OUT EVEN! I WILL WIN!
MY GOD WILL SUPPLY ALL MY NEEDS!
I AM MORE THAN A CONQUEROR!!! I WILL ALWAYS TRIUMPH!!
I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST!!!
I AM A SOLDIER FOR JESUS CHRIST!
DEVILS CANNOT DEFEAT ME. PEOPLE CANNOT DISILLUSION ME!
WEATHER CANNOT WEARY ME. SICKNESS CANNOT STOP ME.
BATTLES CANNOT BEAT ME! MONEY CANNOT BUY ME!
GOVERNMENTS CANNOT SILENCE ME!
I AM A SOLDIER FOR JESUS CHRIST!
I AM A SOLDIER!
EVEN DEATH CANNOT DESTROY ME!
FOR WHEN MY COMMANDER CALLS ME FROM THIS BATTLEFIELD,
HE WILL PROMOTE ME TO HEAVEN.
I AM A SOLDIER FOR JESUS CHRIST!
I AM A SOLDIER, IN THE ARMY, AND I'M MARCHING, CLAIMING VICTORY!
I WILL NOT GIVE UP! I WILL NOT TURN AROUND!!
I AM A SOLDIER, MARCHING HEAVEN BOUND!

TRUST in the LORD!
The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will TRUST; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
Well it is a New Year! 2010 was very challenging for me and for many people I know. Many hard trials, temptations, etc.; but "THANK THE LORD" through it all He was always there and an ever present help in time of need.
This past year God has been dealing with me a lot on trusting in Him. Not leaning on my own understanding, but to acknowledge Him in all things, go to Him with ALL things, and TRUST that He will work out every detail in the best way possible. There really are so many things this year where I was forced to lean hard on the Lord and not once did the Lord not show up or not be that help when I needed it most! It is such a blessing to have the Lord to go to with every obstacle, every tear, every problem, every joy, every heartache, and KNOW that He is there, He cares, and He is that 'ever present help'. Why do we ever doubt? Did He not create this entire world? The heavens above, the sea below? Did he not create you and me? Did He not send his only begotten Son, to die and live so that we would have the hope of heaven and life more abundantly? Is He not 'Love' in the purest form?
Romans 5: 6-8
For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
We can Trust a savior who gave His life so that we might live! Have a great NEW YEAR in 2011 and remember GOD NEVER FAILS! You can TRUST Him!
